Zato has been gearing up to make a significant impact at IFAT 2024. The company will proudly showcase its extensive line-up of customised metal shredding solutions, tailored to meet diverse production requirements.
SEEING IS BELIEVING
Among the highlights of Zato’s offering at the exhibition will be the acclaimed Blue Devil, the company’s twin-shaft rotary shear/shredder. Attendees will have a unique opportunity to witness live demonstrations of the pre-shredder in action, as it effortlessly shreds cars and ferrous materials, showcasing its exceptional capabilities three times a day, every day.
Zato is committed to customer satisfaction. A team of expert engineers and state-of-the-art technology ensure personalised assistance and provide full remote support to clients without delay wherever in the world those clients may be.
PRODUCTION RAMP-UP
One of Zato’s German customers, Alfa Recycling of Munich, attests to the transformative impact of the technology on operations. Since integrating the Blue Devil pre-shredder into its scrap metal shredding line in March 2023, Alfa Recycling has experienced remarkable improvements in efficiency and productivity.
According to company md Karl-David Schlehenkamp, the pre-shredder has enabled the company to achieve a 30 to 40% increase in scrap processing capability of its hammer mill, while significantly reducing downtime and eliminating damaging unshreddable material from the scrap flow.
SAFER OPERATIONS
Furthermore, the Blue Devil’s enhanced safety features have mitigated the risk of explosions, providing a secure operating environment for personnel and equipment alike. Its twin-shaft rotary shears deliver best-in-class levels of torque, allowing the efficient shredding of even the most challenging materials.
The slow rotating, high torque shredding approach not only optimises the density of bulky scrap but also significantly reduces dust and dirt content, meeting the stringent production requirements of foundries and steel mills.
With the option for diesel or electric power, the Blue Devil offers versatility and performance tailored to individual needs.
INCREASED COMPETIVENESS
Alfa Recycling’s story is just one of the many that testify to the transformative potential of Zato’s unique solution. With the integration of the Blue Devil pre-shredder, Alfa Recycling has achieved remarkable gains in throughput and efficiency, significantly reducing the hammer mills power peaks, increasing overall output and eliminating explosions, all of which enhance its competitive edge within the industry.
