Avis expands baler portfolio

United States – Avis Industrial Corporation, a privately-held company with 10 subsidiaries throughout the USA, Canada and Mexico, has acquired IPS Balers. Based in the US state of Georgia, IPS has been providing balers and conveyors to the recycling industry for nearly two decades and, since 2008, had been part of the CP Group of Companies – an international manufacturer of material recovery facilities and equipment such as disc screens and optical sorters.
IPS becomes the third baler company within Avis Industrial, joining the American Baler Co. and the Harris Waste Management Group. The latter, with a recycling industry pedigree dating back more than a century, produces both ferrous and non-ferrous processing equipment and was acquired in January of this year.
‘€˜We are pleased to add IPS to our baler manufacturing companies,’€™ states Leland Boren, chairman and ceo of Avis Industrial. ‘€˜The features that are exclusive to IPS machines, including the pre-compression lids, hinge sides and bale-tie two rams, are innovative and allow us to meet the requirements of even more customers in the recycling industry.’€™
