Europe – ‘The revised EU waste legislation will enable important market changes,’ according to trade association Plastics Recyclers Europe (PRE). ‘Our annual PRE meeting will be a perfect moment for the plastics value chain to discuss and debate these changes.’
This year’s gathering will be held on November 20-21 in the Belgian capital Brussels and is expected to attract around 170 participants from the plastics recycling and converting industries. For the first day, PRE is organising several working groups, spanning end-of-life vehicles, e-scrap, PVC, PET and mixed plastics.
A conference entitled ‘Increased recycling targets – quality sorting & recycling’ will be held on day two, with a varied programme featuring talks on: an innovative upcycling approach from Interseroh; marine litter and recycling from Plymouth University; sustainable packaging from Procter & Gamble; and deposit systems as ‘a catalyst for quality and quantity’.
