Redwave expansion caters to wider spectrum of recycling technology

Germany – Redwave, an expert in sensor-based sorting systems, has founded a new subsidiary in Germany called Redwave Waste GmbH. The new company is located in Wetzlar and expands the corporate portfolio with its solutions for mechanical-biological waste treatment.

Redwave Waste GmbH is now responsible for acquisition and management of all corporate projects in the waste processing sector worldwide. The facility will be run by a team of 20 specialists with over 20 years of experience in the field of recycling and sorting technology. The waste division within the Redwave group mainly provides waste processing solutions, using automated mechanical sorting and processing technologies, for converting waste into secondary fuel and usable recycling fractions.

‘By combining the two major areas of technology – sensor-based sorting on the one hand and classical mechanical-biological treatment on the other – we have become one of only a few suppliers on the market who are able to offer clients complete solutions designed individually to meet their needs,’ comments Silvia Schweiger-Fuchs, ceo of Redwave Waste GmbH.

She expresses confidence that the new site and wider market focus will further improve the recovery of valuable materials from waste and allow Redwave to respond to the ‘increasing global demand’ for recycling-oriented processing concepts.

Redwave provides complete processing lines as turnkey packages, but also offers individual machines and a ‘comprehensive spectrum’ of related engineering and consulting services. An innovative technology offered is bio-drying, which is said to ‘greatly improve’ the sortability of damp wastes with high organic content.
