United Kingdom – Japanese excavator specialist Kobelco will make its debut at the annual Complete Auto Recycling & Secondary Materials (CARS) trade show. The company will be showcasing its SK210D-9 car dismantling machine in the demonstration area of the event, which will be held on July 13-14 at the Donington Park Circuit in Leicestershire, central England.
The machine is designed to strip end-of-life vehicles ‘safely’ and is capable of converting a complete chassis into ‘manageable parts for the total reclaim of key recyclable products in rapid time’. According to the company, the SK210D-9 offers four times the processing capability of dismantling by hand. As well as increased productivity and reduced labour costs, the machine also delivers ‘smooth hydraulics and suspension as well as low fuel consumption’, it is claimed.
Kobelco launched its first excavator-derived machine specifically for automotive reclamation in 1979. According to the firm, the impact of this original machine was ‘huge’ in the Japanese market and led Kobelco to invest further in car dismantling technology, establishing itself as a leader in the field.
The free-to-attend CARS trade show is claimed to be Europe’s premier live event for automotive recyclers.
