US recycler provides aid to hurricane victims

United States – Major US-based forklift supplier Toyota Industrial Equipment Manufacturing (TIEM) recently made a change to its workers’ shirts and uniforms. But instead of disposing of the used clothing in landfill, TIEM approached Wisdom Environmental – a company that specialises in the development of recycling programmes for businesses and industries.

As a result, the shirts and uniforms were donated to the victims of Hurricane Matthew who lost everything in the flooding caused by a disaster which swept through parts of the Caribbean and also the south-eastern states of the USA. In total, Wisdom Environmental provided some 1000 kg of used clothing.

Wisdom Environmental works with clients across the USA to assist in recycling byproducts from their manufacturing processes. These clients range from large automotive manufacturers with multiple streams for recycling to small, specialty manufacturers with a single stream.
