Germany – Business continues to improve for Germany’s metal recycling industry, concludes the country’s association of metal traders VDM from its latest survey. Some 89% of the organisation’s members described the current state of their business as ‘positive’ while 92% of respondents were optimistic about the months ahead.
‘Stabilised metal prices and a solid German economy have been a major driver for increased confidence,’ comments VDM president Thomas Reuther.
At the same time, the organisation notes growing concern among its members about global political instability causing uncertainty for business.
According to VDM, metal traders in Germany are expecting metal prices to continue to increase during the second quarter of 2017.
