Europe – A call for entries has gone out for the sixth European Paper Recycling Awards, which will recognise innovative projects in two categories: information and education; and innovative technologies and research & development.
Run by the European Paper Recycling Council (EPRC), the competition is open to any Europe-based entity, including schools, universities, NGOs, national and regional authorities, companies and associations.
Submissions must be made by July 3 and the award winners will be announced at a special ceremony at the European Parliament on October 18, to be hosted by Circular Economy package rapporteur Simona Bonafè.
The awards provide an opportunity to ‘spotlight the innovative projects changing the way we think and do paper recycling and help Europe achieve its goal of a 74% paper recycling rate by 2020’, states the EPRC.
