The Netherlands – Netherlands-based recycling company HKS Metals, a subsidiary of TSR, and the Van Dalen group are intending to merge. To this end, HKS Metals and the current owner of the Van Dalen group, Rolf van Dalen, have signed an agreement and are now awaiting final approval.
TSR has 150 metal recycling yards in Europe, of which HKS Metals runs six in the Netherlands. The Van Dalen group was founded more than 70 years ago and currently has metal recycling facilities in the Netherlands, Belgium and the UK. Rolf van Dalen, who has more than 30 years’ experience in the scrap industry, will join the management team at HKS Metals as soon as the agreement is finalised.
The companies are aiming for further improvements to their service and efficiency, as well as for expansion. ‘This will benefit both the customers and suppliers as well as the employees of HKS and Van Dalen,’ it is stated.
