Powerful scrap “Predator” enters recycling scene

Harris Waste Management Group has launched the all-new Harris GPS “Predator” metal scrap baler series in collaboration with Great Scrap Processing Solutions.

The partnership between the two US ferrous and non-ferrous recycling equipment brands ‘brings the fastest and most powerful scrap baler in the world to the American, Canadian, and Mexican markets’. The Predator is described as a scrap baler and car logger with ‘unmatched strength and dependability while delivering best-in-class efficiency and cost of operation’.

Marco Garuti, ceo of GPS, says: ‘For years, American companies have been asking to buy our machines. Our equipment is known for being highly performing, but we didn’t feel like facing an important market like the US without the right partner. We offer modern, ultra-high-performance solutions with an extremely advantageous cost-per-ton ratio for our customers.’ And he adds: ‘With Harris we have found a partner of excellence, known for making products of the highest quality to which we exclusively grant the marketing of our most requested machines.’

Harris in Cordele, Georgia, will act as the hub for the completion and ‘Americanisation’ of a product that has been met with great success all over the world, says DJ VanDeusen, president of Harris Waste Management Group.

He comments: ‘We are excited to bring the Harris GPS Series Predator to our renowned product line of ferrous and non-ferrous processing equipment. Partnering with GPS will provide the unbeatable combination of a proven, high performing solution backed by Harris’s 100 plus year history of quality and innovation to our customers in the US, Canada, and Mexico.’
