TOMRA Sorting secures three new contracts

Global – TOMRA Sorting Recycling, a business stream within TOMRA Sorting Solutions that supplies automated sorting systems under the TiTech brand name, has been selected as the technology provider of choice by leading plant builder and waste engineering expert McDonald International of Dallas in the USA for three of its latest projects.

A TiTech autosort 4 unit has been installed as part of an upgrade to Barna Recycling′s 18 tonnes per hour mixed dry recycling plant in Galway, Ireland. The unit will be used to clean and increase the value of the paper fraction, with plans also being considered to add a further unit to enhance the plant′s plastics sorting capabilities.

Leading plastics recycling company Roydon Group, which produces PET flakes at its 5 tonnes per hour recycling facility at Caerphilly in Wales, has also installed a TiTech autosort 4. This forms part of an upgrade, enabling the firm to purify PET before granulation.

Also as part of an upgrade, a TiTech autosort 4 has been installed at Polypipe′s recycling plant at Horncastle in the east of England. The unit will enable Polypipe to increase the purity of the PE fraction used to manufacture a number of products in its range.
