AMUT opens laboratory doors to university students

Italy – Recycling technology specialist AMUT of Italy and the University of Pisa are collaborating on several EU-sponsored research projects in the field of plastics material processing. The partners aim to develop and test new polymers with ‘particular eco-friendly characteristics produced by renewable sources, recycled materials as well as biodegradable and compostable materials’.

AMUT will share its wide experience in the development of plants for extruding plastics while the company’s technicians will support students through all the steps of the projects, ‘teaching how to run the machines, sharing know-how and competences, up to the data processing and analysis to complete the research’.

AMUT has opened up its laboratory to the students and given them the opportunity to operate some prototype equipment.
