PET recycling venture for Cuba

Cuba – A new PET recycling plant has come onstream in Villa Clara, Cuba. Manager Carlos Ruiz Pérez said the company adapted a grinding mill for mixed plastics to make it suitable for the pelletising process.

PET bottles collected across several Cuban provinces are sorted, washed and dried before going to the mill. After processing, the PET flakes are packaged in 350 kg bags for export.
