OHL Engineering takes over Mann + Hummel ProTec

Germany – The Munich-based subsidiary of Schoeller Holding GmbH, OHL Engineering GmbH PET Recycling Technologies, has acquired fellow German recycling player Mann + Hummel ProTec GmbH. According to the Schoeller Group, this move reflects a desire to expand in the plastics industries.

Henceforth, Mann + Hummel ProTec will operate under the Somos and OHL ProTec brand name. Both Arnold Jahn, CEO of Schoeller Plast Industries, and Alfred Kimpel, Managing Director of ProTec, will perform the duties of Managing Director of the enterprise.

‘€˜With the new company, we will create a strategic extension of our existing business with the goal of growing our European and international markets with high-quality components and systems made in Germany,’€™ says Christian Uhlik, Managing Director of Schoeller Holding, who identifies plastics recycling as a market of interest.

Schoeller Plast Industries owns operations across the globe and is involved with reusable and returnable packaging systems, beverage bottles and caps for the processing and recycling of plastics. OHL Engineering specialises in manufacturing and marketing turnkey PET bottle-to-bottle recycling plants.
