Maag/Ettlinger’s combined expertise will leverage the recycling industry

Switzerland – German melt filter and injection moulding machinery manufacturer Ettlinger has been taken over by Maag Pump & Filtration Systems of Switzerland.

With their combined expertise, innovative products and advanced technologies, Maag and Ettlinger plan to ‘leverage the polymer, compounding and recycling industry’, it is stated. ‘Ettlinger will benefit from Maag’s global network and will be able to strengthen its worldwide service and support.’

Both companies will approach the market under their existing brand names. Maag’s president Ueli Thuerig will head up the combined business.

‘Maag’s strong sales and service channel will provide us a greater penetration into new markets and will allow us to provide excellent local support to our existing customers,’ comments Ettlinger’s ceo Volker Neuber.

Ettlinger Kunststoffmaschinen GmbH was founded in 1983 and today is a global brand. The German company has its headquarters in Königsbrunn near Augsburg, as well as a US sales and service subsidiary in Atlanta, Georgia. Its core expertise is the development and manufacture of high-performance continuous melt filters and injection moulding machines.

Maag Pump & Filtration Systems is a worldwide provider and leader in the manufacture of gear pumps, pelletising systems and filtration systems for demanding applications in the plastics, chemical and petrochemical industries.
