French group snaps up Gen Bro

France – Paprec Plastics has acquired Gen Bro (Crushing Generation), a small recycler from Guitalens in France that had gone bankrupt. The transaction will enable Paprec to strengthen its presence in the far west of the country.Paprec already owns a number of plastics recycling companies, with more than 150 000 tonnes processed annually. With this deal, the group acquires a factory that will complement its site at Trémentines, Maine-et-Loire, which is said to be France’s largest PVC recycling operation. Specialising in the treatment and recovery of all types of plastic waste, particularly PVC, the plant is equipped with two grinders, a micronisation station and mixers.
Gen Bro was formed in 1997 by Bruno Delpino who, along with its dozen employees, has joined Paprec.
