The Petrochemical and Refining Congress: Europe 2023 will update industry specialists on getting clean hydrogen into the downstream. A dedicated ‘hydrogen roadmap’ will be presented at the event, which will take place on 22- 24 May in Vösendorf, Austria.
The conference is the perfect meeting place for representatives from O&G major companies, EPCs, refineries and petrochemical plants, licensors, chemical companies, equipment manufacturers, and service providers.
Topics on the agenda include:
- Alternative transportation fuels
- New recycling technologies
- Cost effective business models
‘The term hydrogen rainbow isn’t new for the downstream industry with the gray hydrogen being the most common type from the range used in the sector,’ says event organiser BGS Group. ‘As forecasts show, its demand won’t go down to balance the hydrogen market with upcoming alternatives – blue and green hydrogen.’
Achieving the net zero target by using green hydrogen is hailed as one of the most essential goals for downstream key players. For instance, recently Aramco, the Saudi oil giant, and Sinopec, China Petroleum & Chemical Corp., have signed an agreement to collaborate on carbon capture and hydrogen production processes.
BGS Group underlines that collaboration across the whole value chain is ‘crucial’ to reach ambitious sustainability goals. That is why the Petrochemical and Refining Congress serves as a platform to connect key industry players, allowing them to established new partnerships.
