Erema reinforces presence in CIS market

Russia – Plastics recycling systems producer Erema of Austria is about to open a subsidiary in Russia. Based in Moscow, Erema Russia will cover all CIS states which together use 9.1 million tonnes of plastics every year.

Additionally, some 7 million tonnes are processed to make plastic products, thus offering major and ever-growing market opportunities for processing equipment providers. According to Erema, Austrian machinery manufacturers annually supply ‘Euro 1 billion worth of plant and machinery to Russia alone’. Erema Russia’s managing director will be Kalojan Iliev, who has been the company’s representative for the Russian region for some time.

‘Erema is strengthening its presence in what is a very large territory which, due to its history as the Soviet Union and Russian as a widespread language, represents a region of its own,’ he says. ‘This means that Erema is available as a central, Russian contractual partner with local presence. This is not only an advantage in terms of managing the purchasing process; our customers will also benefit from improved service.’

Together with his team, Iliev will be responsible for the further development and marketing of Erema in the CIS region and will support the activities of local representatives in the individual countries. Erema representatives Irina Zubkova (Moscow) and Valentina Gritschina (Kiev) will continue to act as local sales partners.

Furthermore, established offices in Textima in Belarus, the Baltic States, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and the Russian offices in St Petersburg, Moscow and Ufa will likewise be available for local market support. Erema has already opened subsidiaries in China and North America. In January this year, meanwhile, the company founded Pure Loop – a sister company of Erema and 3S.

The official launch of Erema Russia will take place during the Interplastica trade show to be held in Moscow on January 28-31 next year.
