EcoCortec’s plastic recycling project ‘first of its kind’ in Europe

Croatia – Croatia-based plastic film producer EcoCortec has launched what it claims to be Europe’€™s first collection and recycling initiative for used films and plastic bags.

Under the Plastic Recycling Project, the company’s customers will send their waste material back to its plant for recycling and use in the manufacturing of new products.

EcoCortec manufactures Vapour Phase Corrosion Inhibiting films which are used to protect metal parts and equipment from corrosion during storage and shipping. It has recently opened a plastic recycling centre to serve its growing customer base.

According to the company, this new recycling programme will lead to ‘huge economic and environmental benefits’ for the plant, its clients and the environment.
