The possible uses for plastics are becoming more and more diverse, while at the same time production continues to increase every year, and with it the challenge and responsibility of business and industry to make their use more sustainable, resource-conserving and environmentally. This will be at the core of the virtual industry get-together D-EXPO Circular Economy.
The digital trade fair organised by Carl Hanser Verlag offers an international platform covering all things to do with plastics, taking place from April 13-16. The event provides an exciting programme, the opportunity for live interaction and informative exhibition booths.
‘We have invested a lot in technology and are proud to be able to offer our visitors and exhibitors a platform with lots of interaction, live streams and chat options,’ says Michael Justus, Head of Business Development, at Carl Hanser Verlag. The special feature of the virtual platform is a high degree of transparency: by registering, visitors agree to be visible by name so they can be contacted by other delegates.
Industrial companies as well as associations and media around the topics of circular economy and sustainability will have the opportunity to present themselves on the platform from April 13-16. Among them are renowned companies such as Coperion GmbH, HexPOL TPE GmbH, INEOS Styrolution Group GmbH, Leistritz Extrustionstechnik GmbH, Matmatch GmbH and Starlinger & Co. Ges.m.b.H.
The supporting program will be opened by keynote speaker Ingmar Bühler, Managing Director of PlasticsEurope. The topics on the agenda range from plastics recycling to eco-design, packaging and more – all in English. Standardisation will also be addressed in the presentation by the GKV/TecPart association – and the programme also includes a talk on the prospects and opportunities for plastics recycling by the Institute for Plastics Processing (IKV Aachen).
Also joining in will be (among others) Stefan Schmidt from the Kunststoff-Institut Lüdenscheid, Prof. Achim Schmiemann from Ostfalia University, Raphael Kiesel from RWTH Aachen, Dr. Karine Van Doorselaer from the University of Antwerp, Dr. Muhammad Rabnawaz from Michigan State University, and Dr. Michael Thielen, editor of Bioplastics Magazine.
The supporting program will be livestreamed – individual questions can be put to the experts after each presentation. The presentation files will be available afterwards as “video on-demand”.
The main advantages of the D-EXPO are:
- Expert presentations on the subject of the circular economy
- Lecture files are available “on-demand” afterwards
- International live event: communicate directly with international plastics professionals from all over the world
- Simply digital, no matter where you are: convenient, environmentally friendly and efficiently accessible – all you need is Internet access
- Free of charge for visitors: simply register and be there
