Turkey – Hamburger Recycling, a daughter company of the Austria-based Prinzhorn Group, has acquired paper recycling company KastaÅ KaÄÄ±t of Izmir in Turkey.
‘With the acquisition of KastaÅ, we are happy to have found our perfect match in Turkey,’ comments Hamburger Recycling’s managing director Andreas Walser. ‘It marks a major step towards the supply of our recently-announced paper mill project in KÃ¼tahya.’
KastaÅ is ‘perfectly set’ to gain a strong foothold in the collection and trading of secondary raw materials for Hamburger Recycling, according to the company.
Now with a total recycling capacity of 145 000 tonnes per annum in Turkey, Hamburger Recycling operates 32 recycling facilities in 12 countries with a total annual handling capacity of 1.3 million tonnes of paper for recycling.
