US Navy to scrap Sea Shadow stealth craft

USA – After spending five years and millions of dollars on searching for a buyer for its Sea Shadow stealth craft, the US Navy is planning for the vessel’s dismantling and recycling, according to a report by Fox News.

‘While several letters of interest were received, only one organisation submitted an application, which was determined to be non-viable,’ it was noted.
The Navy has said that a time-frame for the breaking of the craft cannot be predicted. The Sea Shadow is 160 feet long and 70 feet wide, has a maximum speed of 14 knots, and has the ability to operate in winds from 17 to 21 knots.
