Non-ferrous ambition for Alliance Steel Service

United States – US scrap company Alliance Steel Service has acquired the Minneapolis site of Jack Engle Co. in a bid to intensify its non-ferrous operations.

According to Alliance’s owner Michael Zweigbaum, the company’s aim of expanding its non-ferrous business has already been made evident by the addition of experts from EOS Metals to its team, most prominently EOS co-founder Ed Orensten.

Though the existing Minneapolis operation will remain active for now, Zweigbaum expects that it will eventually close down and that operations will be consolidated at Alliance’s own facilities.

Dating back five decades, Alliance has gained a reputation as a leading scrap recycler in the USA’s upper Midwest, with its sites providing scrap to more than 30 corporate customers throughout the country.
