Core competence
The Newell family has been among the top scrap recyclers
in North America for many years. Newell is an experienced
scrap shredder manufacturer: it is not only the inventor of
the modern steel scrap shredder, but also the only company
globally which designs, manufactures and operates shredding
plants. The company has operated more than 40 Newell
family-owned facilities, equipped with Newell shredders and
processing more than 1 million tons per year of shredded
scrap.
Now with more than 800 customers globally, Newell’s
shredder design focus is on quality and operation cost rather
than manufacturing cost. The quality is derived from very
strict selection of the shredder’s components from first-
class supplier companies around the world. Having devoted
55 years to making improvements to its shredders, Newell
can now offer a 50% increase in production capacity versus
previous designs plus a 30% reduction in operating costs.
Newell also created Smart Shredder System (SSS) computer
control, which operates the shredder at a very high level of
efficiency and provides management data to enable constant
improvement, based on years of management experience

China Recycling Newell Equipment (CRNE) is a joint venture
between China Recycling Development Corporation and New-
ell Recycling Equipment. It combines world-class technology

Products
CUTMETALL Recycling Tools Germany GmbH produces
blades and machine knives for shredders, as well as screens
and screen baskets, rotor/stator knives for granulators, knife
holders and other wear parts such as screws. As first-class
machines deserve top-quality wear parts, the company’s
products are 100% made in Germany using durable Böhler
K110/1.2379 steel. Since 1996, more than 100 employees have
processed over 1500 tonnes of steel annually at the company’s
three German production sites, ensuring shredder blades and
screens of the highest possible quality for renowned machine
manufacturers and recycling plants all over the world.
OEM Service
Offering an OEM service for machine manufacturers,
CUTMETALL combines German engineering with process-
oriented robot production methods in the manufacture
of all its machine components. A highly-qualified team,
one of the industry’s most cutting-edge plants in Germany,
high-performance cutting, milling, turning and grinding
technology, integrated robotics, latest fibre lasers, bending
technology and constructional welding – all of these enable the
company to achieve extremely accurate manufacturing results.
