Core competence Founded in 2008 and employing nine people, Ad Rem is a
Belgium-based joint venture of Group Galloo, one of Europe’s
leading ferrous and non-ferrous metals recyclers, and Valtech,
a family-owned group of machine building companies.
Based on the technological expertise of Group Galloo, Ad Rem
has developed a range of equipment for the separation of shred-
der residues (shredder heavy fraction and shredder light frac-
tion) into non-ferrous metals, RDF and plastics. Its technology
can also be used to treat WEEE residues, incineration metals,
The heart of the process consists of a patented dense medium
separation system but the company’s other installations include
feeders, screens, air separation equipment and water treatment.
Ad Rem can offer complete post-shredder technology lines ca-
pable of handling up to 40 tons per hour turnkey.
Ad Rem technology offers competitive treatment of large quan-
tities of shredder residues such as ASR and WEEE. The addi-
tional recovery of 2 to 4% metals, as well as the separation of
organics inside the shredder residues to create a low-chlorine
fuel, ensure a high percentage of recovery.
