Founded in 1948 in Piove di Sacco originally
as trade and then as a treatment plant,
Panizzolo Recycling Systems soon focused
on designing and selling machines and solu-
tions for transforming scrap into valuable
raw materials, serving both European and
non-European markets.

Secondary raw materials are classified and
must meet high standards of purity for fur-
naces, steelworks and other industries.
Therefore, the company’s treatment and

production, allowing the total recovery of

R&D
Annually, Panizzolo invests an average 4%
of turnover in research and development
activities, allowing the company to create
patented new solutions. The company pre-
sented several such innovations during the
latest Ecomondo in Rimini, Italy. This includ-
ed new machine models dedicated to
grinding and refining scrap.
‘By designing independent treatment
groups, we can maximise metal recovery
from mixed and highly worn waste and per-
form processing in stages’, Panizzolo says.
‘The specialised units are characterised by
their modularity and flexibility, allowing cus-
tomers to keep up with changing market
conditions.’

Hammer mills and modular and flexible
shredders have been designed to ease the
upgrade of the production process with
other accessories, including switching to
different types of heavy waste. ‘Customers
continuously achieve optimum results in
terms of output, time and cost of process-
ing thanks to the high productivity per hour,
reduced energy costs and maximising the
value of the treated materials,’ the technol-
ogy expert notes. ‘All our solutions are effi-
cient and are operating in compliance with
EU legislation.’
