The International Electronics Recycling Congress (IERC) will once again bring
together more than 500 representatives of international recyclers, equipment
manufacturers, recycling associations, refurbishers, standards bodies, NGOs,
regulators and many more.
Topics to be highlighted during the three-day event include: the impact of
e-mobility on the recycling industry; best practices of the circular economy;
worldwide take-back schemes; quotas and challenges faced by OEMs; and
business opportunities in emerging markets.
The programme also includes ‘tech talks’ – specialist presentations on the latest innovations
in e-scrap recycling technology. A round table panel will discuss how the wider electronics
recycling sector has been coping with shifting markets caused by scrap import restrictions
in China and other Asian destinations.
Three powerful keynote speakers will take the stage: Amazon’s Robert ter Kuile, Professor
Dr Egbert Lox of Umicore and Surendra Borad Patawari of the Gemini plastics recycling
company.
There will be a large exhibition area with more than 80 booths, a networking dinner party
and daily cocktail receptions. Delegates can also take part in plant tours and workshops.

The 8th edition of ACI’s Ship Recycling Congress will provide insights into
the latest developments in one of the world’s most labour-intensive and
dangerous industries. There will be a strong focus on regulation and
capacity issues. Other topics to discussed include: sustainable ship recy-
cling, recycling of vessels with no EU flag, ratification of IMO’s Hong Kong
Convention, the global market overview, the Inventory of Hazardous
Materials and much more.
The congress will bring together senior executives and experts from own-
ers, operators, shipyards, major associations, cash buyers, and others.
