TMS International opens office in Brazil

USA – TMS International Corp., parent company of scrap and mill services provider Tube City IMS, has opened an office in Brazil – the company’€™s first formal presence in the country, according to an article in Platts. TMS has also expanded in the USA with new offices in Miami and Austin. Again, the Miami facility represents the firm’€™s first formal presence in the state.
The Brazilian trading office will be located in Belo Horizonte and is ‘€˜a key step in TMS International’€™s increasing globalisation’€™, says Tube City’€™s President J. David Aronson, citing Brazil’€™s rapidly increasing demand for raw material and mill services. The Miami office will support the Belo Horizonte operation as well as offices in Mexico and Latin America, while the Austin office is integral to the company’€™s growth plans in the south-west of the USA, it says.
