IL Recycling subsidiaries merge

Sweden – Söderman Reindustri, Swedish Eldemontering and Kopparberg Scrap & Metals, three scrap metal processors under the umbrella of Swedish multidisciplinary recycling fim IL Recycling, have merged to form one company named IL Recycling Metals AB.

‘There are multiple reasons for this merger. For example, it will strengthen our relationships with a large group of with steel mills and foundries,’ said Niklas Lindberg, the newly appointed Chief Operating Officer of IL Recycling Metals. ‘It will be an especially significant step in relation to our foreign partners, as we are now able to apply for Chinese export licences and follow a general code of conduct.’

The new company added that a powerful single brand would result in a more efficient, professional and secure business.

IL Recycling will maintain its investment programme, including the building of a shredder mill in the town of Gävle that will process and separate ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals and other waste. ‘It would be unnatural to do it under any name other than IL Recycling,’ Mr Lindberg explained.
