MeWa is now Andritz MeWa

Global – International technology group Andritz has acquired assets of German recycling machinery producer MeWa.

From this new Andritz foundation, Andritz MeWa will continue to offer its entire portfolio of plant and equipment for the various recycling sectors, according to a company statement. ‘As part of the Andritz Group, we can continue to expand our product and service portfolio further by making use of the existing synergies and manifold opportunities available within a globally active and financially strong corporate group,’ it reads.

For 30 years, MeWa has been supplying complete recycling solutions for a wide range of applications covering, for example, electrical/electronic scrap, refrigerators, cable, metal composite materials, household/industrial waste, used tyres, oil filters and specific types of hazardous waste.

The Andritz Group is a global supplier of plants and services for the hydropower, pulp and paper, metalworking and steel industries, as well as for municipal and industrial solid/liquid separation. The company is headquartered at Graz in Austria and has around 23 800 employees. Andritz operates over 220 production sites as well as service and sales companies all around the world.
