World Steel Association releases statistical yearbook

Global – Data on trade in scrap for the period from 2005 to 2014 are incorporated into the World Steel Association’s ‘2015 Steel Statistical Yearbook’, which is now available free of charge in pdf format on the Brussels organisation’s website.

For the same 10-year period, the yearbook presents statistics on: crude steel production by country and process; steel production by product; steel trade by product; apparent steel use and apparent steel use per capita by country; and production and trade of pig iron, directly reduced iron and iron ore.

The statistics were collected from association members and various international organisations, it is noted. Printed copies of the ‘2015 Steel Statistical Yearbook’ can be ordered from the World Steel Association bookshop.
