Urgent update regarding AQSIQ license renewals

ISRI – ISRI has received confirmation from AQSIQ, just this morning, of what most people have suspected for the past two months. AQSIQ notes that “[i]t is true that the online AQSIQ registration procedure for renewal would not be available before October due to the computer technical barriers.”
The communication from AQSIQ goes on to say, “in fact, we have begun to receive application documents in traditional physical way without on-line application.” Therefore, ISRI members should submit their hardcopy documents, in Chinese or bi-lingually in Chinese and English, to AQSIQ at the following address:

Supervision Division

General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) of the People’s Republic of China

No. 9, Madian East Road

Haidian District, Beijing, People’s Republic of China 100088

It is absolutely imperative that you send your application via a company that can provide you written documentation of delivery. Be certain to obtain such written documentation as soon after delivery as possible and to maintain such documentation at least until such time as your license renewal is issued.

ISRI has also received a huge number of inquiries from members regarding the usage of outside firms to “assist in expediting” the renewal of licenses. ISRI has cautioned against the use of such expeditors. AQSIQ confirms that ISRI has been providing the proper advice in this regard, stating in its communication this morning, “[a]s to assisting getting renewal of AQSIQ certificate, AQSIQ never accredited or recognized any company to do such things.”
