UK paper producer invests in MRF

Archiv – United Kingdom | The UPM Shotton Paper Mill on Deeside Industrial Estate in Wales is building a £17 million materials recovery facility (MRF) to sort plastic bottles, cardboard, newspapers, magazines and metals. Building work is to start immediately and 160 jobs will be created following its completion. David Ingham, General Manager at UPM Shotton, comments: ’Our vision for UPM Shotton is to be the front-runner in creating value from renewable and recyclable materials. Building a materials recovery facility at Shotton is a natural step towards this vision. It enables us to provide solutions to our partners in paper recycling and meet UK market needs in processing recyclable materials.’
