Shredder market to top US$ 800 million

The ANDRITZ Universal Shredder FRX

The worldwide industrial shredders market will be worth US$ 800 million this year, according to a study by Global Info Research.

The international market for industrial shredders is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of roughly 1.3% by 2024. This means the market will reach 870 million in the next few years. The industry is still dominated by single shaft shredders (49%), followed by two shaft shredders and four shaft shredders.

Market analysts observe that prices for industrial shredders were stable from 2012 until 2016. Recently, prices have started to decrease somewhat, in light of overall economic developments. It is likely this trend will continue in the near future.

The new report gives an update on the worldwide industrial shredder market. Special chapters are dedicated to Africa, North America, Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, South America, and the Middle East.
