The Supervisory Board of AGOR, in consultation with the Executive Board has decided the operation will take place before the year’s end.
The reason for the planned sale is the difficult economic situation for these companies and because contracts are not respected by its consumers. According to a company statement, AGOR AG says a potential buyer has already expressed its interest, ’but is open to talk to other potential buying parties as well’.
The takeover of ALSA Services Canada will include its daughter companies ALSA aluminium Canada Inc. and Recyclage d’Aluminium Quebec Inc. The German parent suffers from a high debt situation, which the company has to solve. After discussions with its creditor banks, the company needs to draw up a business plan, which will be evaluated by an external bureau.
