European Tyre Recycling Conference: call for papers

Europe – Global challenges and opportunities relating to tyre recycling and the disposal of end-of-life tyres (ELTs) will be debated at a European Tyre Recycling Association (ETRA) conference scheduled to be held on March 25-27 next year in Brussels.

The conference will provide a platform for the recycling sector to discuss issues surrounding the ongoing availability of tyres for recycling. According to the organisers, speakers are expected to address among other topics: the export of ELTs; the way in which the industry is managed across Europe and how that impacts upon availability; and the incentive to invest and develop new technologies.

Additionally, a panel will look at how the tried-and-tested pyrolysis industry is tackling the very specialist challenges created when pyrolysing tyres in a modern European or North American environment.

The ETRA is issuing a call for papers that will allow researchers and developers to lay out projects to their peers, industrialists and venture capitalists, focusing on opportunities arising in the recycled rubber sector.
