Electronics and automobile recycling congresses

    Archiv – Leading experts in the field of electronics recycling will meet in Basel from January 14 to 16 next year to discuss OEM activities in WEEE recycling and latest developments within the recycling industry.

    ICM also organises the 4th International Automobile Recycling Congress (IARC 2004) which will be held from 10’€’12 March 2004 in Geneva, Switzerland.Leading experts in the field of electronics recycling will meet in Basel from January 14 to 16 next year to discuss OEM activities in WEEE recycling and latest developments within the recycling industry. The congress will also feature country reports on implementation of WEEE legislation and on take-back systems.
    Keynote speakers will be D. Grant Lawrence of the European Commission, Ab Stevels of Philips Consumer Electronics and Guy Ethier of Umicore. In addition, a round-table discussion will address one of the major challenges for the recycling industry: ’Plastic: How can we get the best out of it?’ Delegates will also have an opportunity to visit the high-tech electronics recycling plant of RUAG in Altdorf.
    ICM also organises the 4th International Automobile Recycling Congress (IARC 2004) which will be held from 10’€’12 March 2004 in Geneva, Switzerland. Leading experts in the field of automobile recycling will meet to discuss car manufacturers’€™ activities in end-of-life vehicle (ELV) recycling and the latest developments in the recycling industry.
    The congress will focus on international legislation and there will be country reports from America, Asia and Europe. Furthermore, there will be a round table discussion on the topic of ‘€˜Car recycling ‘€’ what are the market drivers’€™. Keynote Speaker of the congress is Ivan Hodac of the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA).
    The participants of IARC 2004 may also visit the International Geneva Motor Show or the shredder recycling plant of SIREC in Ecublens, Switzerland.
