E Waste Center opens new facility as EWC Group

    The new site will be capable of accepting and processing all electronic materials including; televisions; computers; computer peripherals; laptops; audio/ visual equipment; and appliances. ’With our new facility, we will be capable of handling any and all volumes of electronic waste, whether on the private consumer level or large corporations and companies,’ says Clara Jung, Regional Vice President of EWC Group, Inc.
    EWC Group will be working closely with the Washington State Dept. of Ecology’€™s E-Cycle Washington program. Effective January 1, 2009, electronics manufacturers in the Washington state will begin to pay for recycling computers, monitors, laptops and TVs through the new E-Cycle Washington program. The Washington Materials Management & Financing Authority (WMMFA) is the manufacturer agency charged with establishing and overseeing the statewide program and collector network.
