DS Smith makes key Continental European appointment

United Kingdom – UK-based packaging specialist DS Smith Recycling has appointed Federico Dossena as its managing director for Italy, Spain and France. He joins from UPM where he held several positions before becoming head of Direct Sourcing Recycled Paper Purchase Europe.

Reporting to head of recycling Jochen Behr, Dossena will be based in the Italian city of Milan. ‘He brings strong international experience to the business from extensive work in Germany and Finland,’ notes DS Smith Recycling.

‘Since September, Mr Dossena has worked with teams in Spain and France to accelerate our growth in those regions.’ Giovanni Malloggi, DS Smith Recycling’s managing director for Italy, has announced his retirement after 42 years in the paper and recycling industry.
