China – Making 60% of its turnover through exports and having worked with China for more than 20 years, French hydraulic scrap shear baler manufacturer COPEX is to increase its market presence in Asia after concluding a production and sales partnership with Chinese company Jiangsu Huahong Technology Stock Co, China’s first recycling equipment manufacturer to be listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
The two enterprises will form 50/50 joint venture company MH Recycling HK Co. To be based in Hong Kong, it will be responsible for selling COPEX’s new mobile REFLEX 500 tonnes scrap shear in Asia and the rest of the world.
With this new scrap shear, says COPEX, recyclers are given the opportunity to optimise their investment cost by choosing a portable machine which can process scrap materials at various storage sites and at the same time benefit from the same technological innovations as delivered by heavy-duty scrap shears.
‘We have known Huahong Technology for many years and had many occasions to appreciate our respective qualities,’ says COPEX’s chairman Frédéric Malin. ‘Thanks to the high production capacity of Huahong Technology, their sales force in Asia, and the high quality of COPEX technological innovations, our alliance can only be a win-win partnership.’
