* Tube City IMS
Tube City Division, part of the US-based Tube City IMS Corporation which supplies products and services to steel mills and foundries throughout the USA, Canada and Europe, has announced the opening of its first representative office in Beijing, China.
According to J. David Aronson, Tube City Division’s Executive Vice President Outsourced Purchasing, the opening demonstrates the company’€™s long-term commitment to its customers and partners in the Chinese market. Steven Liu will work in the office as a liaison with customers and suppliers to Tube City in the purchase and sale of scrap metal and other raw materials, as well as steel mill services.

* Aumund
Conveyor and material handling specialist Aumund of Rheinberg, Germany, has opened a new subsidiary in Hong Kong, to be known as Aumund Asia (HK) Ltd. The company is now directly present in the South East Asian region and, together with Aumund MUND Beijing, is strongly represented in the Chinese market. The thirteenth Aumund subsidiary is headed up by General Manager John Yao-Wen Louie.
As early as 1975, Aumund started to establish worldwide subsidiaries to account for the growing importance of the export market and to enhance the company’€™s presence in important markets.
